Project Coordinator

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us in office on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary range between £25K- £31k per annum, depending on your experience. 

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As a Project Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the overall success of projects and the efficient functioning of the PMO itself. The PMO is tasked with standardasing and enhancing project management practices within Human Appeal and the Project Coordinator contributes to these objectives by delivering administrative, logistical, and organisational assistance to project managers and the PMO team. This is all aimed at guaranteeing the seamless operational execution of Human Appeal’s major projects and campaigns.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator: 
Oversee the prompt organisation and updates of project documentation, ensuring accessibility for stakeholders at a senior level.
Ensure precise data entry into project management tools and systems, upholding the integrity of project-related information in alignment with the responsibilities of a senior project coordinator.
Participate in project-related meetings and skillfully prepare comprehensive meeting minutes that capture essential discussions
Compile and disseminate project status reports in a timely manner, providing stakeholders with comprehensive insights into project progress
Identify and assess project risks and issues, and proficiently escalate them to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
Exhibit proficiency and maintain a consistent frequency in utilising project management software/tools to effectively update and manage project data at an advanced level.
Precisely track tasks and projects, ensuring accuracy in meeting deadlines and contributing significantly to overall project efficiency.

What we’re looking for in our Project Coordinator:
Ideally degree-educated with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. e.g. Business Administration, or Project Management, or qualified by experience
Project Management qualification / certification is desirable
Previous experience in project coordination roles
Exposure to project management principles, processes, or tools is advantageous
Experience of using project management software is desirable
Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu are desirable
Clean driving licence and has a car
Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector
