Digital Marketing Manager, £35-37k

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35-37k per annum.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As a Digital Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will design, develop, implement, track and optimise a global digital marketing strategy to maximise reach, action, conversions and engagement across Human Appeal’s digital portfolio, delivering communications that help the organisation capitalise on every opportunity to retain and engage with their donors / supporters / affiliates and partners. All in order to drive Human Appeal’s global online strategy and brand online, ensuring integration with all offline channels. We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Manager:

  • Ensuring the Asana PM tool is updated on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring emergency campaigns are executed within an 8 hour window once the emergency protocol is enacted within a country we work in, and 72 hours when outside of operation.
  • Increasing the number of donations
  • Increasing the value of donations
  • Increasing the average order values
  • Improving the online conversion rates
  • Increasing the online Page values
  • Achieving high donor retention rates
  • Increasing the Number of website sessions
  • Increasing Natural vs brand search sessions via the website
  • Maintaining a low bounce rate on the website
  • Increasing Channel revenue rates across the online marketing
  • Increasing our customer acquisition rate

What we’re looking for in our Digital Marketing Manager:

  • Digital / Marketing related degree.
  • Relevant professional qualification CIM – desirable.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar digital marketing role
  • Experience of managing relationships with, or working for, a digital / marketing agency.
  • Experience of using analytics and monitoring tools to report on complex qualitative and quantitative data, with the ability to analyse and present information, compile reports and make informed recommendations
  • MS Office Suite
  • Social media tools, including Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Sprout Social.
  • Experience of using Google Analytics, Adwords, Double Click, Facebook Business Manager and Bing Ads.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages, e.g. Arabic, Urdu are desirable
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector

Safeguarding bright futures for more than 22,000 vulnerable orphans in 9 countries. Our one-to-one sponsorship programme has a built-in school attendance requirement while covering the cost of food, housing, medical care, and learning materials.
